Studentsat École Marie-Anne Gaboury in Winnipeg have designed and constructed a massive snow fort they now use as an outdoor classroom.
There are 90 new COVID-19 cases in Manitoba on Saturday and four more people have died from the illness, the province says in a news release.
The search to fill the role began last February, when former city manager Rod Sage retired after being placed on paid administrative leave following a CBC investigation into the death of Christine Mitchell, who died after overdosing at his house in 2019.
"I am a disabled female academic. I have four university degrees. I am very happily married and I have a great job. Yet I have never felt more vulnerable as an individual," writes University of Manitoba academic Nancy Hansen.
