The province says some adults aged 50 and over in specific “hot spot” postal code areas — including some in Hamilton, Niagara, and Halton — will soon be able to get vaccinated.
The locations are among more than 700 being added to the rollout of shots at pharmacies across the province, which was announced on Sunday. The new sites include 20 in Burlington, 19 in Niagara and one in Brantford.
Vaccine waitlists are being used Haldimand-Norfolk and a hospital in Toronto, but not in Hamilton. Instead public health said local clinics only thaw out the number of vaccines needed for the number of appointments that are booked each day.
Hamilton reported 125 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, following 152 that were announced the day before. One more person who tested positive for the virus has died, bringing that total to 332.
