The number of active cases across the territory now stands at 376, an increase of 20 since Wednesday. It’s the second day in a row the OCPHO has reported an increase in the number of overall cases after it reached a peak of 460 last Thursday.
A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared in a unit of the Whistle Bend Place long-term care facility in Whitehorse after one case was detected. The situation “is contained and routine management outbreak procedures are in place.”
The N.W.T. Office of the Public Health Officer reported 34 new COVID-19 cases across the territory since Tuesday and issued 17 public exposure notices. The number of cases in the Northwest Territories now stands at 254 Wednesday, an increase of 16 from yesterday.
